The Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba (IIU) says that the male shot by police in Shamattawa on July 2, 2022, has died.
The IIU was notified on Saturday, July 9, 2022 that the subject of their investigation had succumbed to the injuries they received in the incident.
As the investigation now involves a death the IIU has requested a civilian monitor be appointed by the Manitoba Police Commission.
