A Winnipeg Police Service officer is facing three charges of Drive Dangerous Causing Bodily Harm following an investigation by the Independent Investigation Unit (IIU) of Manitoba.
The investigation stemmed from a collision at Aberdeen Avenue and Salter Street involving a Winnipeg Police vehicle and a minivan in July 2019 that injured six people.
The investigation concluded that there were reasonable grounds to believe a criminal offence had occurred.
Constable John Misiewicz-Buzahora was issued a summons for his alleged involvement and will appear in court on July 6, 2020.
