The Independent Investigation Unit (IIU) of Manitoba’s civilian director has determined that it is in the public interest to investigate after an RCMP marked cruiser crashed into two civilian vehicles while responding to a call.
According to the IIU around 5:30 pm on Friday June 30, 2023, RCMP were responding to a high-priority request for help when the collision happened at the intersection of Saskatchewan Avenue and Elm Street in Portage la Prairie. No one was seriously injured in the collision.
