The Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba (IIU) is looking into a domestic assault and the unauthorized use of a computer system by a police officer.
The IIU says that they were contacted by the Manitoba RCMP regarding the allegation of a domestic assault that occurred in August 2019. RCMP also reported the unauthorized use of a computer system that happened earlier this month.
The IIU civilian director determined it is in the public interest for an investigation to be initiated.
