Unknown police service involved
Manitoba’s Independent Investigation Unit (IIU) was notified on April 10, 2017 that a man complained to Brandon Police Service that he had been assaulted by one or more members of a Manitoba police service on April 6, 2017.
The IIU is investigating the allegation but it is unclear which police service was claimed to be involved. The civilian director of the IIU, Zane Tessler, believes it is in the best interest of the public for the IIU to investigate.
The investigation in in the early stages and information about the alleged incident is still being gathered.
