Woman complains of being touch while being arrested
The Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba (IIU) is investigating an allegation of inappropriate touching of a female during her arrest by two members of the RCMP.
The alleged incident happened in October 2016 and was brought to light after the woman complained to the Civilian Review and Complaints Commission for the RCMP on March 31, 2017.
The woman alleges that she was inappropriately touch while she was being searched by RCMP during the course of her arrest.
The RCMP notified the IIU of the complaint and the Civilian Director of the IIU, Zane Tessler, believes it is in the public interest to conduct this investigation.
