Manitoba’s police watchdog agency is investigating a domestic assault that allegedly involved an RCMP officer
According to the Independent Investigation Unit (IIU) a complaint was made to the provincial RCMP headquarters by a third party. The complainant alleges that on August 31, 2017, an incident happened between the male RCMP officer and a relative.

The IIU says that no one was injured in the altercation but that the IIU civilian director, Zane Tessler, has determined it is in the public interest for them to investigate the incident.
