A Winnipeg Police Service officer is facing charges for his alleged involvement in a January 31, 2023, collision between a Winnipeg police vehicle and a civilian vehicle on the Trans-Canada Highway in the RM of Reynolds.
The Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba (IIU) Was notified of the collision shortly after it happened and took over the case from the RCMP after additional information about the collision was presented to them on February 16, 2023.
As a result of the IIU investigation WPS Constable Ian Case has been given a Provincial Offences Act ticket for careless driving and making an unauthorized U-turn.
