Manitoba’s Independent Investigation Unit (IIU) is looking into a case that involves an injury to a male arrested by Winnipeg Police on Monday, May 14, 2018.
According to the IIU when officers tried to arrest the man at a home in St. Boniface he became uncooperative and as the cuffs were being placed on him his upper left arm was fractured.
Police took the man to the hospital where an x-ray confirmed the fracture.
The IIU is mandated to investigate this type of serious injury.
