The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 2034 has postponed a strike for now as it reviews an offer from Manitoba Hydro.
On Wednesday evening the union stated that they were going to strike as of Thursday after Manitoba Hydro missed a 5:00 pm deadline to present their final offer.
This morning the IBEW reversed course after Hydro tabled an offer last night,
The IBEW bargaining committee is currently reviewing the offer but has indicated that they will be advising their membership to vote it down.
Union members are expected to vote on the offer in the next few days.
