Two days after all but one of the Manitoba Hydro Board members resigned the provincial government has appointed a new board.
Crown Services Minister Cliff Cullen made the announcement on Friday March 23, 2018.
“The five new appointees to the board come from diverse sectors and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the work of the corporation,” said Cullen. “Our government is confident and excited that these qualified and capable individuals are willing to take up the challenges that lay ahead of Manitoba Hydro and that they will work in the best interest of the corporation and of all Manitobans.”
Marina James currently the head of WinnipegRealtors will take on the responsibility as chair, Michael Moore becomes vice-chair and is the former president of the Manitoba Home Builders Association, video producer Lisa Meeches will serve as a director as will Melanie McKague a lawyer with Bell Canada and Wade Linden who was formally the operations director at Southport.
Cliff Graydon the only member of the former board and the MLA for Emerson will continue to sit on the board.
