Hunter taken to Winnipeg hospital after being shot

RCMP are investigating after a hunter was shot on Wednesday morning, November 11, 2020 near Malonton Manitoba.

Police say that two men were in a hunting blind around 7:30 am in a field across from Provincial Road 11 East when a vehicle pulled up to the field, parking at the entrance. Two men dressed in hunting gear got out of a pickup truck and fired at deer in the field. One of the shots went through a plywood wall of the hunting blind and hit one go the hunters inside.

The 45-year-old victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

RCMP are looking for the two men who were in the pickup truck which police say was an older white Chevrolet pickup.
