Morden RCMP are investigating the discovery of human remains in the RM of Stanley near Schanzenfeld, Manitoba.

Police say the remains were located around 1:00 pm on Monday, February 11, 2019.

On Tuesday, February 12, 2019, police identified the remains as belonging to 25-year-old Maria Pluschnik. Pluschnik went missing on February 7, 2019, from Schanzenfeld.

Schanzenfeld is about 121 kilometres southwest of Winnipeg.
