On Saturday evening, October 27, 2018, RCMP in Steinbach received a call from a man who was hunting in the RM of Tache who told them that he thought he had just found a human skull.
When police arrived they were able to confirm that the find was, in fact, human remains which had been there for a long time.
Members of the forensic identification unit and the office of the Chief Medical Examiner are now investigating in an effort to identify the remains.
