RCMP have begun an investigation after workers uncovered human remains in a field about 10 kilometres west of Killarney.
Police were called to the area around 4:30 pm on September 19, 2023. Officers learned that workers were on the site excavating gravel when the remains were discovered.
Members of the Forensic Identification Services Unit and an anthropology team search the site and surrounding area.
The identity of the remains is not known at this time.
The investigation continues.
