HUMAN REMAINS FOUND ON TOOTINAOWAZIIBEENG FIRST NATION

Identity of remains unknown

RCMP Major and Serious Crime Unit and the Forensics Identification Services are on scene on Tootinaowaziibeeng First Nation after human remains were found on July 1, 2017.
Officers from the Roblin detachmant were called to the scene just around noon on Saturday.

Tootinaowaziibeeng First Nation is 384 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg.
No word on how long the remains have been there, the age of the victim or if they are male or female.
The investigation is continuing.
