RCMP announced on September 10, 2020 that the human remains found just outside Little Grand Rapids on June 30, 2020 have been identified.

Police say that a composite sketch they released of the person they found on July 27 prompted extended family members to come forward. The family said that it resembled 27-year-old Lorne Delmar McKay
Mckay had been reported missing by the family on August 4, 2020. He was last seen on May 29th. At the time of the report police said they were attempting to ascertain if the cases were connected.
Medical and dental records were used by the Chief Medical Examiner’s Officer to confirm the remains found belonged to McKay.
Police say that the cause of death has not been determined at this point in the investigation.
RCMP continue to investigate.
