RCMP is investigating after receiving a report that human remains were found near Oakbank.
Investigators say that they received the report on Monday May 31, 2021, and confirmed the remains were located about one kilometre east of the town.
Officers from the RCMP, Springfield Police Service and CP police spent the afternoon and evening searching the area around where the remains were found.
Police say they have not identified the remains at this time.
The investigation continues.
