RCMP, the Office of the Fire Commissioner and the Chief Medical Examiner’s office are investigating after human remains were found inside a home after a fire.
The fire was reported to police around 12:30 am Sunday, January 10, 2021 in the hamlet of Renwer. The community is about 30 kilometres east of Swan River.
Once the fire was extinguished firefighters discovered the unidentified remains.
Police say that no other injuries were reported and the initial investigation seems to indicate that the fire is accidental.
