Manitoba RCMP say that officers with Search and Rescue team located human remains on Sunday morning, July 18, 2021, in Stead, Manitoba.
The team had been involved in ongoing efforts to located Clifford Joseph. 40-year-old Joseph had been reported missing in early June. Joseph’s neighbour Eric Wildman was wanted in connection to his disappearance and presumed homicide and was the subject of a manhunt that ended at a home in southern Ontario.
The identity of the remains have not been determined.
Police say the investigation is continuing and more information will be released when it becomes available.
