Winnipeg Police are looking for a man who allegedly pulled a gun and pointed it at security officers from Health Sciences Centre on Saturday afternoon, July 13, 2019.

Security was called to Children’s Hospital for the report of someone acting violent.

A Shared Health spokesperson said one person was detained by security and another male was escorted out of the facility. Once outside the suspect pulled out what appeared to be a handgun and pointed it at the security officers. He then fled.

Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

Winnipeg Police public information officer Rob Carver said that it is unclear if the gun was real or an imitation. Carver said no shots were fired and no one was injured.

No arrests have been made.
