An early morning fire on Saturday, February 18, 2023, caused significant damage to a bungalow in the 300 block of Manitoba Avenue.
Fire officials say that crews were called out at 6:08 am and found smoke and flames coming from the structure when they arrived on the scene.
Firefighters quickly entered the home to make sure everyone inside had evacuated then moved back outside due to dangerous fire conditions to battle the blaze.
The fire was declared under control at 9:02 am.
No injuries were reported. A neighbouring home was evacuated as a precaution.
The City of Winnipeg’s Emergency Social Services team were at the scene to help those who were displaced find temporary accommodations.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
