No injuries reported

Just after the noon hour on Monday, July 17, 2017, fire crews responded to a two story house fire on Cordova Street just north of Academy Avenue.

The fire started in the basement of the home but was quickly extinguished once firefighters arrived.

Smoke filled the home during the blaze and emergency crews opened windows and used exhaust fans to ventilate the building.

There were no reports of injuries.

Officials on scene did not have an estimate of the damage but told News 4 that the damage was relatively minor.
