Hotel drug raid has two men facing charges

Sunday evening, February 25, 2018, officers from Winnipeg Police Service Street Crimes Unit raided a Richmond West hotel room and a home in South Point.

Police say their investigation led them to seize more than $120,000 in drugs and money including:

  • 38.3 ounces of methamphetamine (valued at approximately $76,600).
  • 32.1 ounces of cocaine (valued at approximately $22,470).
  • 61 grams of marihuana (valued at approximately $900).
  • 259 morphine pills.
  • $22,765 in Canadian currency.
  • Packaging materials.
  • Scales.

A 27-year-old Winnipeg man is facing a number of trafficking-related charges while a 21-year-old male has been charged for Fail to comply probation order

They were released on Promise to Appears.
