The 7-11 store at 3031 Ness Avenue has applied for a dining room liquor licence which if approved will allow them to sell alcohol to dine-in customers.
7-11 plans to renovate the store to have a seating area. The dining room licence being applied for allows for liquor to be sold while the on-site kitchen is open and also permits liquor to be sold with takeout and delivery food orders.
This type of store isn’t new for the convenience store chain. Currently 7-11 is serving alcohol at two stores in Ontario and 11 stores in Alberta.
If approved the store will sell beer and wine but the products will be under lock and key and only accessible by employees.
