Prairie Mountain Health (PMH) announced that the hospital in Grandview Manitoba will be temporarily closed as of November 26, so that staff can be redeployed to the local personal care home.
PMH noted that the closure came into effect at 8:00 am and will continue until further notice.
Grandview Personal Care Home is currently in Critical (Red) on the Pandemic Response System. There have been 11 positive cases of COVID-19 identified amongst residents. One staff member at the PCH was also confirmed positive.
The closure of the Emergency Department and Acute facilities at the hospital mean residents in the are have to travel more than 30 minutes to the hospital in Dauphin for emergency care.
