RCMP have arrested and charged three inmates in connection to a homicide at Stony Mountain Institution on Saturday, April 13, 2019. Stony Mountain is about 27 kilometres north of Winnipeg.

Police say that a 27-year-old inmate suffered life-threatening injuries after he had been stabbed during an altercation with three other inmates. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Stephen Wilfred Wood, 31, has been charged for his alleged involvement with Second Degree Murder

Stephen Michael Konowalchuk, 36, has been charged forces alleged involvement with Assault with a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.

Adrian Joseph Sefa, 27 has been charged with Assault for his alleged involvement.

The investigation into the death continues.
