Winnipeg Police have arrested a 39-year-old male after he allegedly stabbed a person then returned and killed the second man inside a business in the 100 block of Garry Street on Tuesday, November 6, 2018.
Police say that the suspect had a verbal confrontation with the two victims and it escalated to the point that the suspect stabbed a 30-year-old male several times in the upper body before fleeing. The suspect then returned a short time later and confronted the second victim, a 54-year-old male. The second victim was also stabbed several times in the upper body but died shortly afterwards.
Police identified the suspect and issued a Canada-wide warrant for parole revocation
On November 7, 2018, police located the suspect outside his residence and placed him into custody.
Kristopher Derek Watt has been charged for his alleged involvement with Second Degree Murder and Attempt to Commit Murder.
He was returned to jail.
