As News4 reported on June 22, 2016 that at approximately 3:40 a.m., emergency personnel were called to a home in the 300 block of Aberdeen Avenue regarding a fire incident.
A 50 year old male was was rescued from the home and taken to hospital in critical condition. He has since died.
An autopsy was perfomed and the victim has been identified as David Sanderson age 50. The autopsy indicates that Sanderson was assaulted prior to the fire being set.
Investigators have determined that Sanderson was in the area of Main Street between Dufferin Avenue and Selkirk Avenue on the evening of June 21 and early morning of June 22, 2016. Anyone who may have had contact with SANDERSON during that time is asked to contact investigators immediately.
Sanderson is described as an Aboriginal male, 6’0” tall, 150 pounds, thin build, long hair in a ponytail and wearing a dark coloured t-shirt and jeans.
