Winnipeg Police have a description of the man who may have killed 50-year-old Dean Wade Yurkiw on August 4, 2017.
Yurkiw was stabbed in the 300 block of Redwood Avenue
Investigators with the Homicide Unit say that they recovered DNA from the crime scene of a male.
Police say the suspect has not been identified and they need help from the public in doing so.
The suspect is described as an Indigenous male in his 20s who stands about 5’7″ tall. He has a thin build with short brown hair (possibly a buzz cut). He was wearing a grey long-sleeved plaid shirt with an aqua green shirt under it and long blue shorts.
It is believed by police that the suspect lives or lived in the area at the time of the murder. Police also say that people in the area would have seen the suspect.
