In the early hours of April 18, 2024, at approximately 3:18 a.m., General Patrol officers from the North District responded to a report of a seriously injured man in the area of Selkirk Avenue and McKenzie Street in Winnipeg.
Upon arrival, police located an adult male outside who was in critical condition. Officers immediately began providing emergency medical care and the man was swiftly transported to a local hospital. Despite the best efforts of medical personnel, the man succumbed to his injuries.
The Winnipeg Police Service’s Homicide Unit has since taken over the investigation. Detectives are currently seeking any information that may assist in their investigation, including possible video surveillance from the area.
