Winnipeg Police are investigating a homicide that happened early Tuesday morning in the downtown area.
Please avoid Portage Ave. at Donald and Ellice at Donald until further notice.These intersections are closed due to a police investigation.

Emergency crews responde to a call regarding an injured man around 4am this morning around Donald and Portage.
The victim was transported to hospital where he died of his injuries.
Police are being tight lipped at this hour about the clearly violent incident as te investigation continues.
Portage Avenue in both directions was closed for several hours as the Forensic investigators gathered evidence.
