Manitoba First Nations Police Service (MFNPS) is investigating a suspicious death on Birdtail Sioux First Nation about 330 kilometres west of Winnipeg.

Police say they responded to a 911 call on Monday January 7, 2019 that said a man was in cardiac arrest.

When officers arrived they located a 28-year-old male who had died from a stab wound.

Officers from MFNPS and the RCMP Major Crimes Unit are investigating the homicide.
