On Wednesday afternoon, October 19,2016 a male kicked in the front door of a home in the RM of Springfield. The suspect was armed with a gun and he demanded money for the resident. He left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
RCMP report that the gun was not discharged and no one was injured in the incident.
Police are asking the public for help in the investigation.
It is believed that a passing motorist may have seen the getaway vehicle.
“We are asking anyone who may have been on or near the 25000 block of Dugald Rd/Highway 15 between 11:00 a.m and 12:30 p.m. and may have noticed something suspicious about a vehicle to call us,” said Tara Seel of the Manitoba RCMP. “Our investigators believe that someone saw the vehicle involved. No detail is too small.”
