A home-built helicopter crashed at Steinbach airport just before 8:30 am on Saturday, June 29, 2019.
According to officials, the helicopter had an incident while it was attempting to land. The helicopter rolled onto its side bursting into flames.
Two people, an adult male and an adult female, who were in the aircraft were able to escape uninjured before firefighters arrived.
The helicopter was destroyed in the incident.
Steinbach Fire Department crews extinguished the fire and remained on scene for a short time afterwards.
RCMP say that the Transportation Safety Board have been notified of the incident.
