Winnipeg Police Service has released the week two results for the Holiday Checkstop Program.
The program began December 1, 2023, and will continue through New Year’s Eve. During the program, additional officers will be on the streets enforcing impaired driving laws.
Week 2 results:
- 727 vehicles stopped and checked
- 7 Immediate Roadside Driver’s licence Prohibitions
- 2 Positive Oral Fluid Drug Tests (Cannabis)
- 5 Impaired Operation related Criminal charges
- 1 Outstanding Warrant execution
- 18 Traffic Offence Tickets
