Winnipeg Police have arrested a 57-year-old male in connection to a sexual assaults that allegedly took place between 1993 and 1995.
According to police, the Sex Crimes Unit was contacted by two individuals who had been members of the Assiniboine Park Hockey Association.
According to the individuals, who were both in their early teens at the time, they were invited to the to their coach’s home separately and given money and alcohol before being sexually assaulted. The pair told investigators that the incidents had been videotaped and photographed.
Investigators executed a search warrant at a home in the first 100 block of Lake Park Drive and arrested a male suspect.
Robert (Bob) Donald Joseph Dawson of Winnipeg was charged for his alleged involvement with two counts of Sexual Interference, two counts of Sexual Exploitation, two counts of Sexual Assault, two counts of Forcible Confinement, Possession of Child Pornography and two counts of Makes, Prints, Publishes or Possession for the purpose of Publication any Child Pronography.
