43-year-old Anthony Green passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018, after he was taken off life support. Green was injured in a Hit and Run on September 24, 2017, at Talbot Avenue and Panet Road.

At the time of the collision, police called the incident suspicious.

Just after 1:30 am Green was found in the middle of the road suffering from critical injuries. He was taken to the hospital and placed on life support. On January 18, 2018, life support was removed.
Police believed that a blue minivan may have been involved in the hit and run and requested the publics help in locating it. A few hours after they made the request for help a 37-year-old man turned himself into police.

Shane David Strebley from Winnipeg was charged for his alleged involvement in the Hit and Run with:
- Fail to Stop at the Scene of an Accident Involving Bodily Harm
- Drive Carelessly – Cause Bodily Harm
- Drive while Disqualified
Although Strebley has not been rearrested, police say that it is not uncommon for charges to change from “cause bodily harm ” to “cause death”.
