Hit and Run suspect turns self into police after description of vehicle released

As News 4 told you yesterday Winnipeg Police were looking for a Blue 2011 or newer Dodge Grand Caravan involved in a hit and run at the intersection of Talbot Avenue and Panet Road on Sunday, September 24, 2017.

Just hours after police released the information about the suspect vehicle a 37-year-old male turned himself in to officers at police HQ.

Shane David Strebley from Winnipeg has been charged for his alleged involvement in the Hit and Run with:

  • Fail to Stop at the Scene of an Accident Involving Bodily Harm
  • Drive Carelessly – Cause Bodily Harm
  • Drive while Disqualified

The suspect’s vehicle has been seized by police and will undergo an examination.  

The 43-year-old male victim in the crime is still in critical condition in hospital.
