The suspect in a Hit and Run has been arrested with the help of information from witnesses.
It happened on Friday, February 2, 2018, just after 6;30 pm.
Police say that a 44-year-old male was walking south on Lipton Street and as he crossed Wellington Avenue he was hit by a westbound vehicle. The collision sent the victim onto the hood and over the roof of the vehicle. The victim landed in the westbound lane of Wellington Avenue.
The driver took off without any regard for the pedestrian.

A passerby administered first-aid and called emergency services.
Police say that they were able to locate the suspect at his home around 2:20 am.
A 32-year-old male was arrested and charged with Fail to Stop at Scene of Accident and Drive Carelessly.
He was released on a promise to appear.
