RCMP are investigating a hit and run collision between a vehicle and a bicycle on the Trans-Canada Highway.
The collision happened around 10:00 pm on Monday, June 28, 2021, approximately two kilometres west of Austin.
Police say that the 40-year-old cyclist from Ontario was westbound on the highway when he was hit by the passenger side of a westbound vehicle. The cyclist was thrown off his bike into the ditch causing serious injuries. He was taken to hospital in Winnipeg.
Police believe the vehicle involved in the collision was likely a red pickup truck. It has a broken passenger side headlight assembly.
