RCMP is investigating a highway 16 two-vehicle collision that claimed the life of two people and sent two others to the hospital.
The collision happened minutes before 2:30 pm on February 14, 2023, about eight kilometres east of Neepawa.
Police say that a 45-year-old female driver and a 16-year-old male were in a vehicle travelling westbound when it crossed the center line and hit an SUV with an 81-year-old male driver and a 75-year-old female passenger heading eastbound.
The female and male in the westbound vehicle died at the scene. The senior male and female in the SUV suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. They were taken to hospital.
Police say that all four people in the vehicles were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision.
