High winds bring down trees and powerlines

High winds on Friday night played havoc with trees and power lines causing a number of dangerous situations and power outages.

Firefighters responded to multiple electrical emergency incidents throughout the late afternoon and evening that involved fallen trees and downed power lines.

Manitoba hydro reported 249 outages at one point that affected more that 11,560 customers.
