The bridge crossing the Red River in the city of Selkirk has been closed due to high water levels.
Highway 204 is closed from Eveline Street in Selkirk to Highway 212. Those on the east side of the river will have to use either the bridges at Highway 4 or Highway 44 in order to get to the city.

The city says they believe the higher than normal water levels are due to ice jams north of Selkirk. They say they will be keeping an eye on the water levels south of the province to gauge what to expect in the coming days and weeks.
The bridge will be closed until further notice.
