43-year-old Winston George Thomas, a convicted sexual offender, was released from Headingley Correctional Centre on Sunday, July 19, 2020, after serving a sentence for failing to comply with his probation order.
The Manitoba Integrated High Risk Sex Offender Unit says that Thomas is expected to live in Winnipeg upon his release.
Thomas will be subject to supervised probation from the time of his release until December 13, 2020. He is also subject to a lifetime weapons ban.

Thomas has a history of sexual and violent offences and a number of breaches of his probation orders and recognizances. He is still considered a high-risk to re-offend in a sexual or sexually violent manner. All females, both adult and children, are considered at risk.
