Members of Manitoba’s Integrated High Risk Sex Offender Unit have arrested James Jasper for allegedly breaching conditions of his probation order.
Jasper was released from custody in December 2016 and was under a lifetime ban from going near parks, playgrounds and daycare centres or anywhere children may be present.

Police say that on October 31, 2017, they saw Jasper at an address in close proximity to a Winnipeg daycare. He was arrested and when he was searched police found a smartphone on him which he was also under orders not to possess.
Jasper was detained and is now in the Provincial Remand Centre.
