Winnipeg Police arrested and charged a 32-year-old female with arson after she allegedly set a fire in a Henry Avenue building.
On September 14, 2018, around 11:30 am a fire was set in a 6th-floor washroom. Paper towels had been ignited causing extensive damage to the washroom and prompting an evacuation of the building
Damage to the building was approximately $60,000.
Three people, including a firefighter, sustained minor injuries.
The female suspect was identified by investigators and located on December 5, 2018. She has been formally charged with Arson with Disregard for Human Life and Arson Cause Damage to Property.
She was released on a Promise to Appear.
