District 4 Chief Tony Fast said that when crews got into the suite they discovered a hoarder situation and a small fire. He said damage to the suite is minor.
Crews ventilated the building before anyone was allowed back inside.
Most residents of the building began returning to their suites just after 1:00 am although those on the 7th floor waited on a Transit bus for a little while longer.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
