RCMP have been called in to investigate an incident between corrections officers and an inmate on Sunday night, February 7, 2021.
According to police the 45-year-old inmate suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital after becoming unresponsive.
Police say that not much is known at this time about what transpired but will release more information as it becomes available.
Members from the RCMP Major Crimes Services, Forensic Identification Services and the Headingley detachment are investigating the incident.
