Manitoba Justice says that on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, a 31-year-old male inmate has died at the Headingley Correctional Centre.
The province has not released the name of the deceased citing privacy reasons but does say that his family was notified.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has been informed as is required by law when an inmate dies in custody.
